 SUNDAY EVENING PRAYER II

THIRTEENTH SUNDAY OF ORDINARY TIME

ORDINARY WEEK XIII

PSALTER WEEK I

===================================================

Three Main Options for Praying this Evening

FULL ROMAN RITE SERVICES

These all contain the full official text of Roman Rite for both Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer. Both virtual links are embedded here for convenience so that one does not have to use figure out which office to use on their websites. Both websites publish their offices early for the convenience of English speakers in New Zealand, Australia and the Philippines. On some days the correct office may be difficult to find.

These embedded links bring the additional advantages of eliminating YouTube advertisements, and also being able to choose any of three hymns to begin the Hour.

DIVINE OFFICE.ORG OPTION

Excellent model of small (household size) community reciting the office with sung hymn at the beginning. On some Sundays in Ordinary time is becomes an excellent model of a small group of cantors singing the Hour. This is one of those Sundays.

Hymn: "O Blessed Creator of the Light"
Translation by John M. Neale of "Lucis Creator optime"

SING THE HOURS OPTION

Excellent model of totally sung office but mostly by one very talented young person. His father is an excellent translator of Latin Hymns. If you like the translations better than the Latin, you can e-mail them. They are volunteers not church employees. Therefore, be respectful of their love of Latin when you ask for less of it.

Initially at Morning Prayer Paul had posted "Sorry for the absence of Evening Prayer.
I don't work at all on Solemnities, we had 3 this week, tough to get all the work done!!"
